2 Days, 1 Night Mount Hanang Hike
A two-day hike up Mount Hanang, starting and finishing in Arusha. The first day is a drive of about four hours to Katesh for lunch, then a climb through montane forest into heathland and high grassland to camp, with views over the lakes and craters below as the sun goes down. The summit hike starts early the next morning along a narrow ridge trail, with a few steep rocky sections where you’ll use your hands. On a clear day the top looks out over Lake Balangida and Katesh, before you head back down to camp for breakfast and on to the gate for the drive to Arusha.

The tour starts in Arusha, after breakfast start a trip to Katesh town, around 4 hour drive from Arusha. Along the way you will pass through huge farming area and mountains created by volcanic activity thousands of years ago. You will have Lunch at Katesh before starting the hike. The hike starts in the lower slopes which covered by montane forest. After you pass the forest, the habitat changes and become more of heathland and high altitude grassland, and you will be able to watch breathtaking panoramic views of Katesh town and the farms around. Later you will arrive at the campsite for resting, dinner and overnight. From the campsite you will enjoy the beautiful views of the lakes and the craters below as the sun comes down.

On the next day you Wake up early in the morning (around 5:30 am), eat some snacks and set off to start the summit hike. You will enjoy the beautiful sunrise view from the campsite and on the way to the summit. The hike is going through a narrow trail, crossing a mountain ridge, walking through small hills, as you ascend and descend frequently, and at times you may need to use your hands to support yourself in some steep rocky walls you will need to cross. After a challenging night hike, you will finally reach the summit. At the summit, on a clear day, you will be able to see an amazing view of Lake Balangida and Katesh down. Later on starting to descend the same way you ascended, you will be witness for a stunning 360 degrees view all the way back to the campsite, there you will have breakfast. After breakfast you will start descending all the way back to the gate. Take some precautions on the way down, and make sure you are doing it steady and slowly since the trail is very steep and you can easily slip. From the gate our transport car will be waiting for you to pick you up and bringing you back to Arusha.

Wonderful Safari experience with Myk as our guide
We did a custom made safari tour for seven nights in Tanzania using the guide Myk Walcott from this company. It was an amazing experience. Myk is a fantastic guide, he is calm, supportive, knowledgeable, is a very safe driver, and is an excellent game driver, he tended to our every need. We stayed in four different hotels and all were excellent, the good was excellent, every detail was well organized. We had fantastic packed lunches on the go, we always had cold bottled water at our disposal. We felt very safe and like we were in good hands. We highly recommend this safari company and especially Myk as your guide. He went above and beyond for us, taking us to a local market in Arusha per our request and we even stopped at a local orphange to drop off supplies near the Tarangire National Park which was a wonderful experience. We only wish we could have stayed for longer and we hope to return in the future. Highly recommended

You can trust him on organizing your safari with your eyes closed!Our guide Noeli was amazing, he has a lot of experience as a safari guide and has vast knowledge on animals, plants, ecosystems, the culture.. He was able to answer our questions. He spotted so many animals and birds for us, and was very patient while we photographed everything. We even got to see the honey badger!!
